We are hosting the latest series of The Faculty workshops in our 46 Hill Street Studio this weekend!
If you haven’t heard of it before, The Faculty programme is a series workshops by local creatives and has – in the past – covered everything from Creative Writing to Photography & Film-making to DIY Beer Brewing to Magic & beyond.
Our June Faculty workshops are in Textiles, Street Art, Stationery & Floristry!

Contemporary Indian Textiles with Karishma Kusurkar (Sat 18th June, 11am-2pm)
Karishma Kusurkar is a designer whose passion lies in print & illustration. Her Indian roots have inspired her Faculty workshop; she is inspired by the contemporary Indian design scene and had the chance to meet Manish Arora in his colourful studio as well as working at Vogue India. She will be bringing this essence of modern Indian design to the workshop in terms of style, shape, colour and influence.. with a cuppa chai and some snacks of course!
Stencil Art with Visual Waste (Sat 18th June, 2-5pm)
Visual Waste has blended Street Art & Public Commercial Art and since 2011 has worked with a broad range of clients from painting caravans for Northern Ireland Tourist Board to working with global clients such as Jameson whiskey and Dr Martens. His workshop for The Faculty is on Stencil Art – one of the key components of Street Art.
Stationery Workshop with Bill & Coo Paper Co. (Sun 19th June, 10.30am-1.30pm)
Bill & Coo Paper Co.‘s Karla returned to Belfast to set up her company after having worked in the US and Canada. She has created bespoke stationery for conferences, weddings and beyond! She recently acquired a lovely 70 year old Adana Press on which she creates beautiful letterpress stationery and prints. Just bring yourself to the workshop and Karla will provide you with all the materials you’ll need including a cutter to take home and DIY!
Making Contemporary Posies with Best Buds Belfast (Sun 19th June, 2-5pm)
Best Buds Belfast‘s Caitlin hails from Australia! Inspired by the new trend in floristry – posy-making and delivery, she decided to set up her own business in Belfast. Her posies have been delivered all over Belfast and beyond and she has also created custom styling for local companies. Caitlin will bring her knowledge of all things plants and flowers to this workshop and you’ll be able to take home a lovely arrangement at the end of it!
